Bohemia, born Roger David on October 15, 1979, in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, is a Pakistani-American rapper, songwriter, and record producer credited with being a pioneer of Punjabi rap and desi hip-hop. He moved to the U.S. as a teenager and immersed himself in the hip-hop scene in California, finding a way to merge his Punjabi roots with rap culture.

Bohemia broke new ground in South Asian music by releasing his debut album Vich Pardesan De (“In The Foreign Land”) in 2002, an autobiographical work that chronicled his immigrant experience and desire to express Punjabi life through rap.
